XLF import - showing code?

Hello

I have just imported in an XLF file which contained our text translated into another language, but after importing, a load of slides that had text is now showing code?!

Has anyone experienced this before? Anyone got any suggestions for fixing or the reason behind it?

Any help that can be provided would be extremely appreciated.

Thank you

  • Hi TheBenHickman,

Sorry to hear that you ran into this issue.
I haven't encountered this issue before, and I'm unaware of any known issues that could have caused this behavior. Would you be willing to share a copy of your Storyline 360 project and XLIFF here or privately by opening a support case so we can take a closer look at what happened during translation? We'll delete it when we're done testing!

      Hello TheBenHickman,

      Thanks for the screenshots!

It looks like this might be caused by an error during the translation process, resulting in a portion of the translation file being treated as text. Based on the screenshot, the <document> element and all its contents were treated as text instead of the browser resolving the HTML. I'd recommend opening a case with our support team here and sharing your course and translation file so we can test the translation file to identify what's causing the behavior.

Hello. Thank you for coming back to me. The issue has been resolved as it was an error within the XLF file, not within Storyline.
