Zoom picture image stays on screen when slide/layer changes

We've encountered a bug if using the 'Zoom image' function to make an image bigger so the user can read it or see it in more clarity, then if there's trigger functionality that goes to another slide or layer automatically, (or if the user uses a keyboard shortcut), the enlarged image remains on screen, until the user clicks.

Has anyone encountered this before and have any fixes? Right now our biggest issue is that users are using the keyboard shortcut while the image is enlarged, if possible we'd like the image to shrink if they used the shortcut as well, or, is there a way to hide the tooltip that tells the users about the next slide shortcut?

We know a permanent fix would be to add in layers to each slide with images and take out the enlarge functionality so that each image could be 'enlarged' in their own layer rather then the zoom picture function, however we've already made the module, and it is large with a LOT of zoom-in-able images used.
