Make Yourself Known
Every journey starts with a spark ⚡️
This is yours!
Step in and share who you are, what you’re drawn toward, and what you’re ready to explore. When someone else shares something that catches your attention, don’t just pass by... respond, connect, and let it build into something more.
From here, things start to expand 💫

Hi everyone! I'm Kell, and I'm the Senior Community Programs Specialist here at Articulate ✨ I'm the one behind many of the programs you'll see across the ELH community, including Peer Pods and ELH Rewards (though I definitely wasn't the only one working on ELH Rewards). I design and run programs that bring people together, spark new ideas, and create space to grow and try new things. I’m really excited to see how this unfolds: how connections form, how support builds, and what this becomes over time. Outside of this world, I'm usually on the hunt for a really good coffee shop, planning my next trip, or deep in a history spiral. If you ever want to talk about Henry VIII and his six wives, I will absolutely meet you there. |
|
Rachael here, great to meet everyone in this program and I'm sure we'll be best buds in no time. My role here is Community Operations and Strategy Manager but that really just means I do a bit of everything when it comes to community building. |

Hi everyone! I’m Katie, Senior Community Engagement & Content Specialist at Articulate. I help create content that spotlights members and the work you share in ELH - from our weekly newsletter and articles like Made by Members to opportunities like How I Built This. I love supporting and elevating our members’ voices, so if you ever have an idea or want to brainstorm, please feel free to reach out! For ELH Rewards, I’ll also be your Mission Coordinator, sharing monthly missions you can complete to earn bonus points. Outside of this space, I’m a mom to a newborn, still learning to adapt to this new kind of chaos. I’m also a pet mom to a golden retriever and two cats. I love a good theme, so you’ll often find me planning get-togethers like my annual Halloween party. I’m excited to be here cheering you on! |

Hello Everybody! I'm Patti. I work for an automotive manufacture and have been here for 25 years. Hard to believe it's been that long! My role is creating, developing and deploying EHS and Quality training for our facility. Since we are a small facility, this is not my only role so I was elated when I found Articulate 365. It helped me take some of the guess work out of creating visually appealing and engaging training and focus on the content. I try to find creative ways to structure the content so it applies to what they actually do and not broad generic content. It can be challenging as we are a forging company and their isn't a lot of graphical content that applies to us. Articulate helped with that when AI was introduced, it's helped polish my plant photo's into something useful for the training.
I am very grateful for all the experienced community members participating and proving valuable information for those of us who are not actual instructional designers but have been thrown into that role along with 5 other roles.🙃 I look forward to growing with you all and hopefully I'll be able to be a bit more active in the future.
Outside of work I enjoy taking motorcycle trips with my boyfriend, my goal is to hit all 50 states! I'm at about 15 currently, a long way to go. I also would not be complete without my little boy, Raider! He is my 1st dog and will be turning 6 in a few weeks. I never realized how raising and training a dog was like bringing up a child. 😝 He makes me laugh every day as he has his own goofy quirks and does not follow what the professionals say about his breed.
I have recently taking up paper crafting to try to expand my creative side. I've been at it about 9 months and found comfort and joy in creating things with my hands.

Hello, I'm Andrea Gentis, a Sr. L&D Specialist working in the insurance industry based in Oklahoma. I have 20+ years of experience in talent development and I currently support ~160 employees. I use Rise most often, but would like to grow my comfort level with Storyline and I am also really looking forward to exploring the new AI features that were just released!

Hi, I’m Mia! 👋 I’m an instructional designer based in Reston, Virginia, and I’m passionate about creating eLearning that people actually want to experience.
I love the space where learning science, storytelling, visual design, and technology come together. I’m especially fascinated by AI and the question I keep asking is, “How can this make learning better, smarter, and more human?”
I’m the kind of person who can happily spend way too much time tweaking one interaction, testing a new AI tool, or redesigning something simply because I know it can feel better. 😄 I love turning messy ideas into clear learning experiences, experimenting with new tools, and finding that little spark that makes a course feel less like training and more like an experience.
Outside of building learning, I’m usually collecting ideas, noticing good design everywhere, or mentally turning everyday moments into potential learning activities.
So happy to join the ELH community! I’m excited to learn from others, share what I discover, swap ideas with fellow learning nerds, and contribute a little inspiration of my own. ✨

Hello!
Sint MaartenI am an Instructional Designer at Jacksonville University (FL). Before stepping through the looking glass into Instructional Design Wonderland, I was a professor of Forensic Science. Sometimes my job at JU is to be Cheshire Cat, assisting professors along on their teaching journey. Other times I am the Mad Hatter, dreaming up wild things to try in their classes. And I am blessed to be surrounded by professors that encourage me to dive down odd rabbit holes. I often tell my boss I would be happy just to build interactives and games in Storyline all day! But alas some days I must be Alice in the real world building courses in Blackboard.
When I am not working, I am an avid scuba diver frolicking in an underwater Wonderland.

Hai Cat, I just read that sometimes you are the Chesire Cat. Have you allready tried to upload an image of said cat into the Rise AI Avatar "machine"? You can make it walk and talk and say everything only the cat can say. Give it a go.

Hello, Friends!
I love helping people learn new things, and finding creative ways to make learning actually fun!
With 5+ years of experience in Articulate Storyline, I enjoy turning complex information into interactive, easy-to-understand learning experiences that keep learners engaged.
I’m also passionate about AI image design and love creating custom visuals, characters, and graphics that make training feel fresh, memorable, and unique. I especially love exploring and sharing new ways AI can support education, eLearning, and creative design, and, of course, creating some pretty amazing images along the way!
For me, instructional design is the perfect mix of teaching, creativity, and technology, and I love bringing all three together to create learning experiences people actually enjoy.

Hi JK,
I agree with this last comment - For me, instructional design is the perfect mix of teaching, creativity, and technology, and I love bringing all three together to create learning experiences people actually enjoy. - Make me think of the comment I would often say when I was a graphic design instructor - I teach the fun stuff! I. too, love the teaching, creativity and tech all rolled into one! - Roberta

Hello, World! My name is Nedim, and I’m an eLearning developer based in Bosnia and Herzegovina, Europe. I’ve been a longtime member of this community, and I’ll share a little bit about myself.
My background is actually in web development. Earlier in my career, I worked on building our company’s internal course builder and custom LMS, which gave me a solid foundation in both development and eLearning.
As I started working with new clients, more and more of them were requesting courses to be built specifically in Storyline. That’s how I gradually discovered Articulate Storyline, and it quickly became much more than just another tool in my toolbox. I spent some time going back and forth between Storyline, Lectora, and Adobe Captivate, but eventually I found my way back to Storyline. And it stuck.
Today, Storyline is my playground and, in a way, a second hobby I’ve fallen in love with. And when I’m not crafting courses, you’ll probably find me somewhere out on a hiking trail with my wife, recharging in nature and gathering inspiration for the next big idea. Some of my best course concepts have been sparked somewhere between mile three and a mountain view!
First, look at that background separation. Are you a photographer, Nedim? There’s no way this was shot on a mobile phone.
Really enjoyed learning more about you and where you live. TBH until now, all I really knew was that you’re one of the best elearning designers I've known. Really appreciate everything you’ve shared with us over the years.

I guess that high-altitude hiking explains why you can pull great solutions out of thin air!

Greetings! I'm Cyd Walker from Eau Claire, WI. I work remote doing instructional design projects for a hospital system located out east. It's a great role as I work with different departments across the system as well as onboarding, mandatory education, and more. I'm an end to end designer.
Favorite sculpture in Phoenix park in Eau Claire, WII've been in the learning and development field since 2000 in a variety of industries from professional service, manufacturing, turf industry, and healthcare. I've been focused on instructional design since 2017. I discovered it's a great way to blend the science of learning with creative learning design. And have a personal passion to make the learning experience enjoyable and actionable.
Outside of the learning design, I enjoy co-facilitating a wine group, cooking, road trips, Pilates, and most recently learning how to play DND.
Great to officially meet you! I’ve been following all the creative examples you’ve shared in our weekly challenges for the past few years.

I'm Andrew. I'm a builder interested in the intersection of learning and interactive systems.
I'm drawn to figuring out how things work under the surface and then pushing them further than their obvious intended uses. I enjoy the point where instructional design/development stops being about arranging content and starts becoming experience engineering.
Having learned a few different participation ecosystems, such as different versions of Khan Academy, I'm ready to explore the ELH Rewards ecosystem.

Hi, I'm Nathan Hilliard and I work in higher education as an instructional designer for Purdue Agricultural Extension where I collaborate on projects for both youth and adult audiences. Despite higher ed's reputation for dry and monotonous learning content, I lean toward a less traditional and more visual/interactive experience (some of my projects).
I also enjoy learning myself, and often use the discussions on ELH as motivation to try new things and push Storyline to see what I can achieve. Some examples can be found in my ELH profile. I work alone however, and as projects progress so does my ability to work with Storyline and interact with the ELH community. Sometimes though, I just come here looking for something I can use as a distraction from my actual job.
Outside of work, my wife and I love Disney and that's about our only distraction. You may even recognize the view from the porch at Tony's Town Square in my profile photo.
For anyone interested in learning JavaScript, Nathan taught a 4-part class for us last year:
- PattiCastilloCommunity Member
Thanks for sharing this David, I will definitely go through this, I know a tiny bit of JavaScript but would love to learn more to take my courses to another level.
That's so cool, I did a bunch of projects for Queensland department of Agriculture, many of which were for their extension staff. I learnt so much about a topic I had no idea even existed 😂
Where have you been, old friend? I just shared one of your demos in a workshop last week.
I'm just now making my way through the posts, and I'm really hoping I see your About Me post by the time I reach the end!

Boiler up!! That's awesome that you have the tools and capabilities to explore creative solutions, especially in a higher education space (alas, that wasn't my experience... eh well). I love your work - great example of gamification!
- FrankieCommunity MemberIf you're not having fun, what are you even doing?
I'm Frankie! I am currently serving as an Instructional Designer for Fiesta Franchise Corporation where I am a full-stack developer. I enjoy creating all modalities from the most basic quick reference guides all the way to the most complex learning modules.
I started my journey into L&D with Lincare where I started in an entry level role, then into management... and eventually finding myself in corporate L&D. While there I transferred my operational expertise into practical learning grounded in firsthand experience.
When I'm not at work you can find me on the lanes bowling league or the local tournaments. You might also find me looking through the bins at the local amazon returns outlet...but let's just keep that between us. 🤫
I believe that anyone can apply themselves and accomplish the things they desire to learn, as long as they have the right resources. I hope to continue sharing my own technical expertise with others by leaving useful and actionable comments on posts here in the community.
Find me on LinkedIn to connect professionally or search for me on other socials to follow my amateur bowling journey.
