New user here - Best workflow for technical compliance training?
Hi everyone,
I finally joined the community after using Articulate resources as a reference for a while. I recently stepped into a new role handling training development at AllSafe IT https://www.allsafeit.com/
, and my immediate goal is mastering the Articulate 360 suite to build out our technical onboarding modules.
We handle cybersecurity frameworks and managed compliance for our clients, so I need to find the most efficient way to translate dense technical documentation into interactive courses. I am currently trying to determine when to use Rise 360 for clean, responsive layout tracks versus building custom, scenario-based simulations directly inside Storyline 360.
For those of you who specialize in IT or software training, do you prefer a hybrid approach using Rise with embedded Storyline blocks, or do you build everything from scratch in Storyline to keep full control over the variables?
I would highly appreciate any tips on workflow efficiency or recommendations for starter templates that work well for highly structured training. Looking forward to learning from the community.

Storyline has a built-in screen-recording function, so that's a good option for software simulations. They can be inserted as videos or as step-by-step slides.
Those recordings could be put into Rise via Storyline blocks. However, SL blocks are not responsive. Instead, the entire slide area just gets smaller or bigger based on the browser size. So, IMHO, it's usually better to keep courses with software simulations in Storyline (though other factors could impact the decision).
Hey kindevil, I'm tagging a few people who might be able to share how they go about compliance training! Marleigh BrianCoady-914c Nohemi_Marquez ManinderSinghRe MonikaPiplani
