Rise Backup and Restorateion
I have seen some of the older discussions on creating pdfs and web files for backing up Rise courses. I assume there isnt another method to address this; am I right?
So, let's say I create the web backup, win PowerBall and quit my company without making anyone a collaborator on my courses. With the web files, can my colleague import the web files back into Rise? Or is there another technique they could use, other than rebuilding the course one piece at a time?

There's no way to restore a Rise course from an exported PDF or web files (although one could cull media assets from published content).
To ensure that others in your company have access in case of emergency or a PowerBall win, it's best if you all have Teams accounts and have designated the appropriate collaborators.

If you have individual licenses, I suggest you set up a process for periodically sending copies to colleagues.
For personal use, you can backup a version of course by creating s "snapshot." Rise automatically creates a snapshot when you publish to Review 360 or Reach 360, export your training for LMS, or create/update a Quick Share link. See the User Guide article about Snapshots for details.
