Q&A: Frontline
From what I can find, it seems that the standards that can be set by learning teams are limited, and so I have some unanswered questions.
- Can learning teams set up workflows? Example scenario: A frontline user submits a request to build content (presenting the problem they are trying to solve) > learning team reviews and approves if appropriate > frontline user builds a kit and sends it to learning team for review before publishing including documents used and SMEs involved > learning team checks for language alignment, best practice, accurate document versions used etc > approves for publishing.
- Can the learning team see all content developed by "Frontline" users from their Articulate library? And is it possible to update the status if this view is possible. Example scenario: A published kit is checked by a learning team and is deemed not suitable due to expired content. Can they change to 'needs a review' or similar and notify the author to update the content before it can be live again?
- How does Frontline perform accessibility checks? How does Frontline produced content align with WCAG standards and perform check to ensure it is screenreader capable? If not, this is something that needs to be checked by learning teams if part of their process - how could this happen in practice as part of the workflow within the system?
Hi ThorunnArnadott,
Thanks for reaching out! I’m happy to share a little more about Frontline to answer your questions!
1. Can learning teams set up workflows?
Frontline is designed to enable teams across an organization to quickly turn what they already know into effective training and resources. For a workflow like the one you described, which includes requests, reviews, and approvals before publishing, those steps would need to be managed outside of Frontline.
2. Can the learning team see all content developed by "Frontline" users from their Articulate library?
Currently, only the creator can view their content in Frontline. They can utilize the Quickshare option or download the content as a PDF to share with their team.
3. How does Frontline perform accessibility checks?
Thank you for asking how Frontline content aligns with WCAG standards. We’re actively developing a Frontline Accessibility Conformance Report (VPAT), and we understand accessibility documentation may be important to your evaluation or procurement process. You can check our Trust Center for updates on its availability.
Please let me know if there’s anything else I can help clarify!
