New in Labs: Survey Block
Hi everyone! We’re excited to share a couple of new Survey Block updates in Labs.
LMS support: You can now use Survey Block with LMS-published courses, making it easier to collect learner feedback. Survey responses are included in your LMS reporting data, so you can review them alongside other learner activity for the course.
Multiple choice items: We’ve added multiple choice and multiple response items, so you have even more flexibility when creating surveys.

I'm really enjoying the new Survey Blocks, they’re a great addition! I particularly like how easy they make it to collect feedback in such an informal and engaging way. Thank you for continuing to develop these features.
A group of learners currently testing my project have shared a few recommendations that they feel would improve their experience of using the Survey Block:
- Traffic-light indicators – linking colours to responses could make it easier to visually identify which responses are poor, neutral or positive at a glance.
- Spacing between questions – one tester found that the lines between questions, particularly when multiple question blocks were placed one above another, made it slightly more difficult to distinguish between questions and respond without confusion.
- Custom images – personally, I would love the option to upload or select custom images rather than being restricted to the default facial expressions. This could provide greater flexibility when designing surveys for different audiences and contexts.
It’s great to see these kinds of updates being introduced, and I’m looking forward to seeing how the Survey Blocks develop further. Thanks again for the continued improvements! 😃
