NEW IN RISE 360: Chart Block
We’ve just released a super-useful new block type for Rise 360: the chart block.
It’s already easy to build beautiful, inherently responsive e-learning with Rise 360 by combining blocks to create unique lessons. And now you can add gorgeous data visualizations including bar, line, and pie charts with the new chart block.
Here’s how the chart block works:
Enjoy!

I like the way this is implemented, for bar charts and line charts it would be good to be able to compare more than one set of data.

This is what I want to do - am I correct in thinking you can only have one line? this limits us greatly. it's almost very useful...

I think this is a great addition to Rise and one that we will definitely make use of.
I love that we can roll over the data points for added emphasis too.
If I was to make one request it would be that we could colour each individual bar on the bar chart separately. Oftentimes we use bar charts for comparison, for example, to show the effect of one drug vs another. In these cases a client often needs the bar that represents their product to be coloured differently to their competitors. Other than this though, very happy with the new feature, thanks!

Love this feature! Is it possible to add multiple lines to a line graph in Rise?
Hi Heather,
Unfortunately, that’s not currently possible. If you have time to log a feature request and tell us more about your specific needs, that would be super helpful!
Let me know if there’s anything else I can help you with.

This is a bit of eye candy for the work that I do, but helpful addition, I believe. Data visualization is a bit more creative than this, but Articulate has started simple and adds features based on demand? Tables and the so promised scenarios would be great about today. Thank you for the work in the background, Articulate!

Absolutely brilliant!

That's a cool update in Rise.
Is there any chance for (animated?) charts in Storyline?
- GordonLamCommunity Member
Hi Phil - I am with you. I kind of thought multiple sets of data would be table stakes for this function. But I will assume Articulate will add that sometime soon.
Can't wait for the scenario block!

Love, love, love! Thanks for adding this feature in Rise. Will you add a similar function into Storyline too? And I am with Phil, it will be great if multiple sets of data can be shown and be compared in bar/line charts.

That is my question as well. Will it be available in Storyline?
Hi Patricia,
You've always been able to build interactive charts in Storyline :) If you're looking for templates, I would check out the Content Library templates in the Slides tab. There are a bunch of different options there.
In the meantime, if there's anything else I can do to help, please let me know!

While I love the idea of these chart blocks, they are not currently useful to us since all the graphs we need to show are comparing different sets of data. Like a few other people have mentioned, these blocks would be greatly improved if you could have multiple lines on the line graph and assign different colors in the bar graph to show comparisons. Please make this update! In the meantime I will be looking into the Visme tool other people have mentioned.

Is there a way to incorporate 2 line charts into one line chart block instead of making two different blocks or an image of both lines in one chart?
Hi Miguel,
Right now, there isn’t a way to do that in Rise 360. Would you be up for logging a feature request to tell us more about your specific needs? In the meantime, if there’s anything else I can do to help, please let me know!- MiguelNievesCommunity Member
Thank you Allison
