Storyline 2: The Job Interview Branched Scenario
Here's an example of a branched scenario created with Articulate Storyline 2. The path varies depending on how you answer the questions.
As you advance through the interview, keep track of how you're doing using the progress meter along the bottom of the slide.
Test it out and let me know in the comments below, were you able to land your dream job?

- DianaMyersCommunity MemberLove everything about this Nicole! Thanks for the inspiration (and the challenge of answering the questions correctly).
- ShannonDRinellaCommunity MemberThis is really fantastic Nicole, great work. Very clean look and easily adaptable to a variety of scenarios.
- ChrisPurvisCommunity MemberHi there Nicole,
Love the branching, progress bar and especially Adult Learning methodology where you learn from your mistakes but also how you learn why I got the answer right. Just a design issue I don't know if its PC related but your headings are not consistent in font sizes. Hope this helps. Part from that GREAT JOB! - SueAbraCommunity MemberI'm also a newbie to eLearning . I love the look and feel of your scenario, in particular having the learner enter their name and employer of their dream. I have read your Blog on how you put this together, and downloaded your template. Thanks for sharing and inspiring me.
- KeshaDawsonCommunity MemberJust starting out with e-learning. Big ideas...a little intimidated by the vast pool of possibilities. This post came right on time. Thanks for the simple, yet effective example of branching. And...I got the job!!
- ToddBrisonCommunity MemberLOVE the progress bar. Great work.
- jeffCommunity MemberGreat example Nicole! I like how one can recover from a 'poor' answer.
- AndyYeo-f0b98f6Community MemberNicole, this is awesome.
I loved the way you designed this scenario.
Looking forward to your sharing of the story file.
Something I observed about the progress meter is this: the triangular indicator flashes when I clicked at the feedback slide. Is it possible to remove that?- Thanks Andy! Yes I have also noticed the triangle flashing and it's due to the triggers. There are about 60 triggers on the master slide so I think it takes a brief moment for the system to run through all the triggers and then update the triangle indicator, and that's when we see the flash. I haven't yet been able to come up with a simple solution to get rid of that, but if anyone has ideas, I'm all ears! :)
- Oh and BTW, just in case you missed it, the story file is now available here: https://community.articulate.com/download/storyline-2-branched-scenario-template?page=1#comment-20890 :)
- ShawnStilesCommunity MemberI really liked how you personalized the scenario by having users enter their name. Making it personal engages the audience. This framework can be used in a number of ways. I have an upcoming project that this format would be great for. I plan on referring back to this frequently while I build it. Thank you for sharing.
