- mkudrnaCommunity MemberVery creative and very tough :-)
- JackieVanNiceSuper HeroThanks for trying it out, Julie!
I actually thought folks might think it was too easy compared to the other escape room examples, but it’s easy to lose all perspective on difficulty when you’re building and testing it on your own. :)
- NancyOliverCommunity MemberLoved this. It is challenging but if you pay attention to the clues you can figure it out. Great work!
- JackieVanNiceSuper HeroThank you so much, Nancy! I appreciate your perseverance. :)
- VictoriaSubl729Community MemberThat was fantastic, Jackie. Really well done. I couldn't find the yoghurt because I didn't realise I could open the fridge,.
I also appreciate the substitute for egg, as I am vegan and was looking for a simple substitute that was healthy!- JackieVanNiceSuper HeroThank you, Victoria! I’m glad you liked it. :)
My preferences are always vegan, so the flax seed egg substitution is a go-to move for me too!- VictoriaSubl729Community MemberYay!
- MichelleMiller-Community MemberVery addictive little game. Nice touch to add plant-based alternatives as a learning device.
- JackieVanNiceSuper HeroThank you so much, Michelle! That yogurt in the fridge is vegan, by the way, so we’ve got the plant-based thing covered. ;)
- VictoriaSubl729Community MemberMust be coconut yogurt!
- TaniaNikolaevaCommunity MemberI love this example!
I can't drop on ingredients with tips correctly even using tips and information from the discussion here, maybe it is some problems with my browser...
But I'm so inspired by visualization, story and the final!- JackieVanNiceSuper HeroThanks so much, Tania!
I can’t imagine what the dropping issue could be. No ingredient should be dropped on another ingredient - ingredients should only be dropped on the bowl.
If there’s a two-step process (as in the 3 hints), one ingredient gets dragged over something else, then dropped on the bowl.
- StephanieDinanCommunity MemberBrilliant.. I love the timed aspect because it forced me to repeat several times, each time I got faster while memorizing the ingredients and steps. Exactly the outcome we want for our learners. Love it!
- JackieVanNiceSuper HeroThat's great, Stephanie! And you're right - that's exactly the desired outcome. A focused not-too-easy challenge combined with some motivated repetition is where it's at. :)
Thanks for your comments!
- NikkiMay-4e0419Community MemberOMG this is awesome!! It was SO hard at first but it was all the sweeter when I FINALLY got the happy result!!!
- JackieVanNiceSuper HeroHi Nikki! I’m so glad you persevered and won. Thanks for making it a successful party! :)
- SylMcIversCommunity MemberJust got a link to this game.
Oh my, it is so much fun, but it for some, is hard to guess which ingredients are which.- SylMcIversCommunity Memberooops just noticed that clicking gets a pop-up.
- JackieVanNiceSuper HeroThanks so much, Syl! I’m glad you like it. :) Yes, If you hover or tap on an item you’ll get a pop-up telling you what it is.
- EDCommunity MemberJackie,
This is brilliant! I literally have played this more than once even after completing it!
Did you create the graphics yourself?- JackieVanNiceSuper HeroThank you so much, E D! I'm really glad you liked it.
Some images I pulled from Content Library and manipulated them, but most I purchased from Adobe Stock and pulled apart/manipulated them in Adobe Illustrator. Here's the post I wrote about it: https://www.jackievannice.com/?p=175073077
Thank you again! :-D
