Why does this window close every time I press "ok"?

Why does this one update when I touch a new object, but the prior window doesn't?

Can't we just have one giant menu list instead of different pop-ups?

Phew, good thing I have a second, portrait-oriented monitor!

I don't want ai. I want dockable sidebar windows!
