Formatting Individual Rows or Columns in Tables

I often find myself wanting to change the font color across a row in a table. It can be done one cell at a time. However, I feel it would be more efficient to format a whole row in one action. I am aware of the shift+arrow ability to select across a row, however the formatting options that appear do not include font size or color.
