In Rise, allow other options on course launch page beside text.
We often have overview/explainer videos for topics covered in our Rise courses. Sometimes, we may even have specific videos or images regarding the navigation and usage of the course itself.
It would be extremely helpful to have the option to embed a video or image (or really any standard Rise block) into the Welcome/Launch page. At present, we're forced into using text only, then having the user start the course, and embedding that orientation content within the first lesson.
Having more control of what the users see first would help us better structure our content.

Hello EricEtkin,
Thanks so much for sharing this! I understand that you’d like to add videos, images, or other Rise blocks to the launch page so learners see your orientation content first, rather than in the first lesson.
To help us understand your experience:
- What happens when learners start your course without having seen the orientation content first?
- What do you want learners to take away from the launch page before they begin?
- About how many courses and learners do you see this impacting?
We can’t promise a specific outcome, but your example helps us understand what you’re working toward. If more comes up, we’d love to hear it!
