Original Date Stamp on Posts

Can a small date stamp be added to the list view of the posts?

There are so many occasions I see a 'new' post appear only to open and find its someone commenting on something that was posted years ago (there was one today first posted over 7 years ago!). Adding a small date of when the post was first created in the list view would help know if the new post was really worth reading.
