Pre and Post Test Scoring Issues in Saba
Hello. I am having trouble with scoring on this design. The course is designed with 2 pretests and two posttest ( I think this is possible). The idea is that the learner can choose to test out with the pretest, or if they fail or skip the prestest, take the posttest (which they should be able to pass) and successfully complete the course. I am having trouble with the scoring in our LMS (Saba SBX) in the example where a learner fails the pretest, and passes the posttest. In this example the desired result should be a successful completion of the course, however Saba is showing "Course In Progress; Activity No evaluated" with a score of 100% on the posttest.
I have provided a simplified version with 2 pre and posttests. I have tested various publish settings in both Storyline 360 and Saba (attached). In this example, every use case works as desired except for when the pretest is failed and posttest is passed.
What may I be missing?
Update: After reviewing more Saba documentation and comparing to Storyline settings I was able to successfully score the course as designed. The "Is Scoring" function in Saba kept turning off when the content was updated. It must be turned on again and saved after updating. Thanks for the feedback.

I should clarify, the learner chooses the pre and posttest based on their role. The questions vary based on the role.

Do you have all the Pre-Checks and Final Assessments listed in the Reporting and Tracking Options?
The example above is for a course with just one Pre-Check and one Final Assessment. In your case, all four quizzes need to be listed.
- If a Pre-Check is passed, the course is completed.
- If not, the course remains uncompleted until the user finishes a Final Assessment.

Hello Judy. This is the file. It has 2 pretests and 2 posttests. Thanks
Hi HustonBrown!
Glad to see Judy has been helping you!
I noticed you've recently opened a support case being handled by my teammate, Chester. It looks like he replied to your e-mail on 01/30/25, sharing insight on your request. If you still have additional questions, feel free to reconnect with Chester through your case!

For tracking, it doesn't matter what you name a quiz. What matters is the setting for what type of quiz it is.
According to your Tracking, your quiz as 4 Final Assessments.
You can set your "Pretests" to Pre-Check either on their Results slides, or by using the dropdown in the corresponding Reporting and Tracking Options fields.

I suggest you test thoroughly in Saba. In particular, see what happens if you fail one of your "pretests" and then pass the final assessment.
As per Articulate's documentation (which I linked to in an earlier reply), if all quizzes are set as "Final Assessments," Storyline will base completion on whichever one is taken first.
