See the duration of a whole training?

Is there a way to see the duration of a whole training from Storyline 360 - other than add the times for each slide up? One suggestion was count the words (in the narration - do you have to look at e...

It did not work for me - as I clicked "Publish" and chose "Web", the estimated course duration information did not appear. Could you please indicate another way to estimate this, possibly the estimated time for each section in a same course ?

    Hi Albert-Thomas,

    Thanks for following up on this, I see what you’re running into.

    Here’s how this works, the duration estimate should appear when publishing, but it may not always show depending on the publish option. If you don’t see it under Publish to Web, you can also try Publish to Video, then click the three dots next to the title field to view the duration.

    One thing to keep in mind, these are estimates and may not fully reflect time spent on interactions, quizzes, or learner pacing, so the results can vary.

    If you’re looking for another approach, some authors estimate duration by:

    • Reviewing slide durations in Story View
    • Using narration word count as a rough guide (many teams estimate around 125–150 words per minute)

     

    At the moment, there isn’t a built-in way to get a precise total duration or a breakdown by section within a course, so a bit of manual estimation is still needed depending on your setup.
