Show slide number and timeline counter in Preview mode
Idea: When previewing a scene or project in Storyline 360, it would be very helpful to display the current slide number and timeline time counter as an optional overlay.
Problem
During Preview mode, developers cannot see:
- Which slide is currently playing within the scene
- The timeline position (e.g. current time vs total duration)
This makes it difficult to:
- Test timing-dependent interactions (e.g. video pauses, animations, cue points)
- Debug trigger behaviour accurately
- Align media playback with on-screen events
- Identify exactly where issues occur without switching back to Edit view
Suggested solution
Add a toggleable overlay in Preview mode that displays:
- Slide number (e.g. Slide 2 of 8)
- Timeline time (e.g. 00:12 / 01:05)
Optional enhancements:
- Show cue point markers as they are reached
- Enable via a simple checkbox in Preview settings
- Visible only in Preview (not in published output)
