When Training Isn't the Problem: Looking for L&D Professionals to Test a New Framework

Hi everyone,

Over the years, I've noticed a recurring pattern:

People often struggle to perform even when the training exists, the documentation exists, and the instructions have already been provided.

This observation led me to a question:

Why do capable people still struggle under real-world conditions?

To explore that question, I've been developing a framework called LIX™ that draws from learning science, cognitive load theory, transfer of learning, performance support, and cognitive accessibility.

Rather than focusing exclusively on content accuracy, the framework examines potential sources of friction that may make information harder to find, understand, remember, or apply during work.

I'm currently looking for a small group of instructional designers, learning professionals, technical writers, and performance improvement practitioners willing to help evaluate the framework.

Participants would:

  • Upload a document and review the resulting analysis
    • Provide structured feedback on the findings
    • Share their perspective on whether the observations align with how they think about cognitive load, transfer, usability, and workplace performance

My goal is not to validate a product, but to better understand whether the framework reflects challenges practitioners regularly encounter in the field.

Participants will receive complimentary access to the full report generated for their document and will help shape future iterations of the framework.

If this sounds interesting, I'd love to connect.
Feel free to comment below or send me a message.

Thank you for helping explore how clearer systems can support better workplace performance.
