Hello! I'm Kathy from Upstate NY
Hi everyone! My name is Kathy Tatelbaum, and I’m based in Upstate New York.
I’ve been working in the e-Learning and instructional design space for over six years, with a focus on corporate training, K–12 education, and nonprofit sectors. Currently, I work as an instructional designer at a catering software company called CaterTrax, designing their internal onboarding trainings, as well as their external client trainings. I also specialize in building microlearning, onboarding courses, and performance support tools that align closely with learner needs and business goals.
I’m here because I’m always looking to grow! I want to sharpen my advanced Storyline skills, especially with variables and custom interactivity. I’d also love to get better with xAPI and understand how to elevate data tracking beyond completion and quiz scores.
Looking forward to learning from this amazing community—and happy to collaborate, brainstorm, or troubleshoot alongside you!

I'm just down the road from you in Syracuse! Spent 20+ years as a Vocational & K-12 educator, the last five (pre-covid) teaching K-12 educators to transition their content online.
Similar to you, I've spent the last 4 years designing content for corporate training. I'm a one-person shop, working in the Food Distribution market, doing everything from media creation, animation, SME planning, course development, etc., etc., and loving every minute of it. I love being able to be visually creative and challenged technically with media and content creation.

Nice to meet virtually meet you! I'm also kind of a one-person show. Even though we have a few people in our education department I am the only course/video/content creator. I love it too :)

Hello! You aren't far at all. I did my undergrad work in Albany so I know the area well.
Oh amazing! We have a big contingency of folks here at Articulate who live in the Capitol Region, we do meetups sometimes! We should have a broader one for ELH folks who live in the area, too 😃
