Hi I'm Rachael, your newest Community Pal 🐕

Hi everyone! Rachael here. I’m one of the two newest folks joining to make your E-Learning Heroes journey even better. I am joining you all here as your Community Strategy Manager, to work across all sorts of bits and bobs to make ELH even more valuable and member-driven.

 

A bit about m’yself:

Professionally, I have spent the last decade-plus working exclusively in Community Management (one of my very first jobs was in a boutique consulting agency for community managers called the Community Roundtable). I sit in the cozy nook of data and stories and really enjoy member programming. Most recently, I worked on Zapier’s Community initiatives across support and AI use case enablement.

Personally: I live in central-ish Maine, with my partner who owns one of the cutest used bookstores in Maine. When I'm not at the computer I'm usually in the bookstore looking for the treasures that people leave behind in their books (pressed flowers and vintage ads are some of my favorites). I also love TTRPs (TableTop RolePlaying Games), so please shout out your favorite rule set if you have one!

Fun fact: Before working in tech, I had a theatre associate's degree and wanted to be a house manager for a mid-sized theatre company. 

 

Things I’m always interested in hearing about: 

• New ways to make AI a worthwhile partner in work
• Interesting use cases for Articulate, especially ones that I may not have seen before! 
• Anything that is your passion, be it thrifting, gardening, or dogs in hats. I want to know it and enjoy it with you.
