Mark from England, in love with Articulate

Self-employed, onto my 6th Systems Transformation Program using Articulate Storyline and Rise. Love storyline for creating step-by-step scenarios at a fraction of the time or cost of other tools.

      Hi Noele,

I'm developing system transaction simulations for a client, which I'll deploy around the world in approx 20 different languages to over 50,000 people. I've been working with a graphic designer to make them look good.

      • Oh wow, are you using our localization tools for that, or another translation process?

Mark, your passion for Articulate truly shines six transformations in and still going strong! Storyline is a game-changer for making rich, realistic learning fast and affordable.

I've used many different tools, but my recommendation is Articulate. Rise is great for quickly creating good looking courses, using the pre-built blocks. Storyline is less easy to use - because it is so flexible and powerful - but it's a joy to use compared to other tools like Captivate!

One observation - I've used Articulate (mostly Storyline) for 10 years now and as a self-employed contractor have encouraged it's use amongst my clients, undoubtedly resulting in the purchase by clients of many Articulate licences... but between projects if I want to keep my skills sharp or do demos for a prospective client, I either have to invest a lot of money in a licence that I may only need for a short period until the next project, or I have to make do with a trial licence. I do wish Articulate would recognise the value of people like myself and at least give us a low cost licence option.

    • Just wanted to let you know I appreciate you sharing this feedback and that I've captured it! No promises on outcomes, but this is certainly something we hear from community members all the time, your use case is very common.
