Does the photo need to be taken with VR? How can you take these?

Am i not looking in the right place for responses to these questions? Many are ones that I have but I'm not seeing the answers/responses...

I have used this system for several areas and it is very useful for students and employees. For them to take charge of the area they are in. Bravo for using it and for hiding the camera perfectly. very well done and very useful. Congratulations!!!

We used a standard DSLR camera with a 360 rotating tripod mount then stitched images with Photoshop to generate the 360 image.

a lot of flks are asking the same questionas me- how do you capture the 360 image? would a panoramic work?
