Have learners race against the clock in this fun, game-like quiz. This Storyline 360 template includes a color-changing timer to signal when time is running out and built-in slide number variables so you can add or remove questions without having to renumber them.
Download the fonts Roboto and Roboto Black to get the same look and feel.
Can you help me understand how you created this? The result is outstanding. However, since I have only created basic stuff on storyline, found it a little difficult to understand
You hire me and I customize it, easy peasy! But seriously, it depends on what you want to do with it, like what specifically are you wanting to change?
So I duplicated the Scenes and removed the first slide to add other rounds, however now the scoring is not working correctly and although the stars are going up to the score on the left, it is staying at zero. What do I have to do to adjust scoring when I add scenes? I'm a newbie, so I'd appreciate the assistance! here is exactly what I did.
1) Right clicked the scene and selected Duplicate.
2) Removed the first slide on Scene 2
3) Adjusted the last slide of Scene one to jump to Scene 2 once you click on the Play Again button, which i renamed Next Round.
Hi Nikki,
I only duplicated a Question slide, without much alteration to the Intro or Results slides. Remember to look at the Form View of every additional slide; at the top panel, link the result to the original Results slide.
Finally, you need to manually amend the maximum score at the Results slide.
I hope that makes sense.
Sokratis,
I am trying to add four additional questions to the game to make a total of 10 questions, however, and not having any success. I tried to go the route you suggested with duplicating question slides but the game does not seem to recognize added question slides. I have tried to find a trigger or something that is linking to the results slide but have not had any luck. No matter what I do, I can only get it to recognize the original 6 questions. Any suggestions?
First of all, this thing is AWESOME! I love how you did it and I'm using it now. Thank you so much!
I wanted to change up the action just a smidge though, because I wanted the Results to only update after the Star Animation was complete. Just a little esoteric thing, but hey, that's me. Anyhoo, during my testing I discovered something weird.
So it's totally possible to pause the update until later, BUT there are a few caveats. Here's how -
1. Delete the Correct layer and just leave the Feedback - Correct layer.
2. Move the Submit Pick One 1 trigger into the Feedback - Correct layer.
3. Change the trigger to "When the timeline ends on this layer".
4. Enjoy!

hello please help me
I am preparing a master's thesis on gamification and I need some special tools in it
The topic of research on the forms of the appearance of time in a gamification environment and its impact on the learner
I need to... Show the time once in the form of a digital timer, and in the form of a time progress bar and once as an alert on the time, but it will not be displayed in front of the learner
Is there an educational application based on gamification that allows me to do this, or do I have to program a special environment for research?
Thank you very much and I hope to help me..
Hi, I am new to this community, and new to this whole sector. I have downloaded your tool, but am unable to open it as I get a message saying I need to open it with an app. Can you help me understand which app I am supposed to be using, please?
Thanks in advance
Laura
Hi Laura and welcome to the E-Learning community! 😊 In order to view this file, you'll need Storyline 360 which is part of Articulate 360. You can download a free trial here: https://articulate.com/360/trial
Thank you so much for your quick response Sarah. I am exploring online communities as part of a Uni assignment, and have chosen Articulate as I am keen to understand more. However, it appears I have already trialed it - I have a vague recollection of this a few years back, but I didn't actually do anything with it at the time as I was not ready :-) and now, sadly, I cannot move forward unless I subscribe.
This is a super fun quiz - very neat design! Thank you. I wanted to add another answer response, but not able to apply multiple 'correct' versions. Could you share how to edit the grouping of the answers?
Great template, however I can duplicate slides and add as additional questions but they are not recognised in the count. It would be great if you could share how to do this correctly and update the results slide. Are you using a variable?
Thanks, Anne! I'm sorry you're experiencing issues when duplicating. I tried to recreate the problem, but the numbering and Results Slide automatically update on my side. Are you using the latest version of Storyline 360?
I used the Slide Numbers feature, so it updates with the new numbering when you duplicate a quiz question slide. You can learn more about adding slide numbers here: https://community.articulate.com/articles/storyline-360-adding-slide-numbers
As for the Results Slide, when you click on it, under the Design tab click Quiz Settings. From there, you can make sure all the quiz questions are selected. Hope that helps!
Thanks Sarah.
Yes I'm using the latest Storyline 360. I'm not to familiar with the slide number feature. I will read through the information you've provided and hopefully rectify my issue.
Hey Anne! I want to make sure I understand. What do you mean by "they are not recognized by the count"? Are you referring to the slide numbers or the number (/30) on the Results slide? If it's the /30 on that last slide, you can manually edit that right on the slide to be the new total possible points for your course.
I found that if you wanted to add extra questions, you have to duplicate
the first question slide versus the last one and then you can add multiple
additional questions. If you try to duplicate the last question slide, the
game does not recognize the additional questions. You then have to manually
edit the overall score as explained in this comment to have an accurate
overall total on the results slide.
Chris
Hi, thanks for this project it's very fun and easy to use. I have a question: ¿Is it possible to change the limit time in each slide? ¿How can I do that?
Hi Cesar, Alexandra, and Aaron! You can change the time, but you'll need to edit the quiz slides and the master slide to make it work. Here's a breakdown of those steps:
Quiz Slides
• Extend the timeline to the number of seconds you want
• Duplicate/edit the audio file to reflect the new time
Slide Master
• Extend the timeline to the number of seconds you want
• Drag Oval 3 and Oval 4 (the colored circles) to the end of the timeline (make sure Oval 3 ends a ½ second earlier
• Edit the Exit duration of Oval 3 to the new time
• Add the additional numbers you want to add to the master slide (make sure 0 is the last one) and move them to the right place on the timeline (make sure they’re properly centered to the other numbers as well)
• Edit the timing of the triggers to change... Expand

I hope that helps!
Sarah, I just want to say "thank you" for sharing this along with your willingness to help others. I saw immediate applications for this project and am enjoying playing around with it.
Hi Sarah! Thanks for creating this - it's so cute and fun! I'm having an issue where my file keeps getting stuck buffering after the welcome slide and the quiz won't start.
When I downloaded and previewed your file it worked fine, then all I did was change the text to my own questions/feedback and now it isn't working...any ideas about what's gone wrong?
Would appreciate any help here :) Thanks!
