That's really clever!
How do you push the object through the states? I've tried "When state of object = state 1, change state of object to state 2", but it doesn't move as fluidly as yours does.
What I do is when you click a card I change the state to Flip (Card Turning) and I trigger to show the layer for that Card which has a trigger to change the state to image/word. Each card has an associated layer.
Hey Richard,
This is awesome - Great idea!
I am trying to customize it to use for one of my projects and my cards don't seem to flip as smoothly as yours for some reason - Mine flip really quickly and yours seem to have a moment when they are plain white as they turn... Any ideas about what I've missed?
I've essentailly just replaced the card images with my own..
Cheers!
Hi!
Great slide!
I'm wondering the same thing, how did you manage to create the flipmovement. All your images seem static en I can't find any animations or something. What do we miss?
Hi we are using this Game template, thanks so much! However wey are trying to fix that when You play, you can Open at once all they cards, we want to limit that if You Open 2 cards, that it waits 2 ir 3 seconds, for they player yo try again. Anyone has an idea how to solve it?
So you like to give the Learner a hint? One way is to create a button that when selected shows a new layer called "hint". You would also need to create a counter (default value 0) and increment that counter every time the Learner clicks the hint button. When the number reaches 2 then disable the hint button.
Now create a new layer called Hint. That layer has a timeline of 2 secs. Add triggers to that layer that changes the state to image for each card. Have another trigger in that layer that hides the layer when the timeline ends. Also don't forget to reset the card images back to their normal state.
Great game! The only thing I have a problem is, when you go to the next slide and then come back to the memory game, it doesn’t work. Meaning if the user clicks a card, more than one card flip over. At the second click all the cards are flipped over. Any idea how to set the game to its inital state? I tried doing it on the slide properties „set to inital state“ but no luck. Any ideas? I am pretty new to stroyline so a detailed suggestion would be appreciated... ;)
Hello. If you copy the slide to create a bigger quizz, it doesn't work the second slide. Meaning if the user clicks a card, all carts flip over. Any idea how to set the slide to its inital state?
I have just created V2 of this template. This also includes details on how I made it and also a few extras. Code is also simplified so much easier to follow. The latest version can be found here in Discussions board:
