Hi Allison, the course is very cool and well done. I love the animated gifs. I am trying to turn a few people "on" to animation in training, but sometimes I struggle. Would you be willing to share your Rise course with me? I am just starting to work in Rise and this would be a great template for me to try and implement some of my own gifs! Thanks so much!
Allison,
This is so well done. For the image grids, did you use a 1 x 1 aspect ratio? I noticed they remained square. When I’ve done this before, the images stretch.
Thanks Anthony! :) Good question. To be honest, I don't remember but I feel like I probably did. Are your images maybe not big enough? Have you tried doing a 1x1 aspect ratio, but at a bigger size?
Hi, Allison!
Your work is very inspiring for a newbie in Rise 360 like me. The flashcards are classic examples of how the tool is appropriately used-- particulary how an image or gif is well complemented by brief and concise explainer text on the flipside.
What tips can you give for a material I am designing which includes explaining the SMART goal setting process and steps on development planning? Aside from informational bullets, contents will need sample goal statements and actual exercise on SMART goal elements which need to be interactive.
Will appreciate much your time and suggestions.
Many thanks,
Jun Prila
Excellent course Allison and informative too. One note however, the sign which you stated is a railroad crossing is actually a guarded railroad crossing which means it has some kind of barrier to prevent cars from proceeding when the train is comong. A non-guarded crossing will have a picture of a choo-choo type train without the fence and requires the driver to be extra cautious when approaching. Cheers!
Allison - great course with awesome examples of how to utilize tools within Rise - given me some creative ideas. Thanks, as everyone has said already, for sharing
Hi Allison. I would like to learn how you developed the title GIF (?) animation and then had it move to the TOC at top and still animate. Is it a GIF? Do you have a how to video demo for this course?
Hey Luke! I worked with Allison to develop the GIFs for this course. I created the illustration for all the GIFs in Adobe Illustrator and animated them all in Adobe After Effects. Here's a little article we posted around that time to help get you started with using GIFs as the cover photo in a course! https://community.articulate.com/articles/how-to-use-gifs-as-cover-photos-in-rise
