- jeffCommunity MemberI do believe this is one of the best interactions I've seen explaining a complex form! Well done Jackie.
- JackieVanNiceSuper HeroThanks, Jeff! I'm so glad you like it!
- GlenMeyer1Community MemberJackie,
Yes I agree with Jeff's comments, a very creative way to a complex form. Thank you for sharing.- JackieVanNiceSuper HeroThanks Glen! :)
- MartineBlottinCommunity MemberWow ! superb interaction Jackie, thanks for sharing.
- JackieVanNiceSuper HeroMy pleasure, Martine! Merci beaucoup. :)
- ElizabethIsraelCommunity MemberAs always, another amazing example! Thank you for sharing!
- JackieVanNiceSuper HeroThanks, Elizabeth! :-D
- davidmckisickCommunity MemberI really like the interaction you created here. This is a really good way to do a mini-tutorial for someone who may already be familiar with this form, or something to accompany a training course that explains the form and the various reasons for checking this or that checkbox or field on the form in more detail.
- JackieVanNiceSuper HeroThanks, David! I'm actually making it over in Storyline 2 right now which is lot of fun, too. :)
- AmandaLodge-050Community MemberI love this! So crisp and elegant!
How do you get your screenshots to appear so crisp? Mine always come out pretty blurry.- JackieVanNiceSuper HeroThanks, Amanda! Yes, as David's saying - SnagIt or equivalent works. After many years of using SnagIt it started perpetually crashing and snarling my system, so last year I moved to using open-source, free Greenshot for captures and it's what I use all the time. I recently explained it and linked to it here: http://www.jackievannice.com/?p=175069330
- AmandaLodge-050Community MemberThanks, Jackie and David! I use SnagIt now and I still feel like my screenshots aren't quite as nice, but I'll play with the settings a bit. I'll also check out Greenshot and see if that works any better for me.
Thanks again for sharing your work!
- davidmckisickCommunity MemberTaking crisp, clear screenshots is fairly easy using a tool like Snagit. I have even been able to take very clear screen shots using the Snipping Tool that comes with Windows. You just have to be very careful and capture only the area of the window that you really need, rather than the whole thing. If you do need a whole form like the one in this tutorial, you can screen shot the form in sections and then piece it together using GIMP or Photoshop.
- NatashaGurmCommunity MemberStunning work as always, Jackie. Love how you tied in your shapes with the background motif. Tres chic!
- JackieVanNiceSuper HeroMerci beaucoup, Natasha! Very kind of you indeed!
I can't help myself when it comes to running with a theme. :)- NatashaGurmCommunity Member'Occupation: optimist'. Tres bien! *sigh* I want to be Jackie Van Nice when I grow up! ;)
- TaylorOsborneCommunity MemberHey Jackie, where do you get your sound effects and music from?
- JackieVanNiceSuper HeroHi Taylor! Most of the time I'm using sound effects from a pack Mike Enders and Kevin Thorn mentioned in a class a few years ago. Here's the link: http://www.soundeffectpack.com
- NatashaGurmCommunity MemberAh, that's a handy resource and definitely one I'll add to my asset collection. Thanks Jackie and thanks Taylor for asking about it :)
