Here’s a question we get a lot: “Is there a Mac version of Articulate Storyline?” Lots of folks like to use Apple-built hardware such as iMacs, Macbook Airs, and Macbook Pros to create, desig...

Hi David and Articulate,
I think this page is great for anyone installing SL on a Mac. I especially love that you addressed the retina screen workaround - that was driving me crazy when I first tried it!
Workaround notwithstanding, why is Articulate still so resistant to publishing a Mac version of Storyline when clearly there are MANY of us clamoring for it? I always feel Articulate avoids the logic when this question arises by reminding us about Parallels, etc. Most of us are aware of how to do that, and if you're new at it, this great page was created especially for you!
That said, why ignore such a large and growing segment of the learning field? History proves we're only expanding in numbers so we need a working version of SL created FOR the Mac.
Sooner or later a competitor is going to offer a bigger, better Storyline product that IS made for Macs, and most of us will immediately gravitate toward the company that thinks of us the same way they do their PC customers. Articulate desperately needs a SL product we don't need to jump through superfluous hoops to use.
Thanks for letting me ask the questions.

Hi Babette,
The retina option still trips me in our workshops if I haven't tried it in a while. Often a user will ask about the resolution issue. Rather than fumble my way through the settings, I review my video to remember how it works.
Your question around Mac Storyline is totally fair.
I can assure you we're not resistant to serving the Mac users. We love Apple and follow that market closely to see if and/or when it makes sense.
As much as I enjoy running Storyline through Parallels, I get that it's not the same thing as running it natively.

- BabetteNovak9 years agoCommunity MemberThanks for the honest answer David. The replies below give you an idea of how frustrating it can be as Mac users, buying additional programs just to force SL to do what it was built to do.
I love Articulate and I appreciate that your budget may not approach other larger companies. I think it's evident that most of your users are passionate Storyline users! I'm sure I speak for many who love SL and recommend it highly to others, as I do. This is why we're frustrated that our requests aren't being answered.
Please keep us posted as to next steps and how we can help this become a reality sooner - not later. :-) Thanks again.
