Storyline 3: Using Slide View
Slide View is where you build and customize individual slides in a Storyline 3 course.
- Switching to Slide View
- Switching to Different Slides or Scenes
- Keeping Multiple Slides Open in Slide View
- Adding Content
- Undocking and Redocking Panels
Switching to Slide View
Switch to Slide View by clicking the Slide View button in the lower right corner of the screen (beside the zoom slider).
Another option is to go to the View tab on the ribbon and click Slide View.
If you're in Story View, you can also double-click any slide thumbnail to open it in Slide View.
Switching to Different Slides or Scenes
To jump to a different slide in the same scene, click any slide thumbnail in the Scenes panel on the left side of the screen. To switch to a different scene, select it from the Scenes drop-down.
Keeping Multiple Slides Open in Slide View
Sometimes it's helpful to keep several slides (or scenes) open in separate Slide View tabs for editing and comparison.
To open multiple slides in separate tabs, click the Story View tab, then double-click the thumbnail for any slide you want to open. It'll open in a new Slide View tab.
To close a tab, just click the X in the upper right corner of the tab. (This won't delete the slide; it'll just remove it from view until you open it again.)

Undocking and Redocking Panels
Here's a helpful tip when you're working in Slide View: You can undock panels and move them to another monitor if you need more room to work. Just click the title of a panel and drag it to a new location, or double-click the title to pop the panel out.
To redock a panel, click the Redock button in the panel's upper right corner.
To redock all panels at the same time, go to the View tab on the ribbon and click Redock All Windows.
