Hello, E-Learning Heroes!
Crystal from South Dakota here! I have professional expertise in publishing, communications, design, and education. I've worked as a writer, editor, publication designer, and educator, and I'm now transitioning into instructional design and learning experience design. I love taking complex information, finding meaningful connections, and organizing it into something clear, engaging, and useful. I enjoy working with both the big picture and all the little pieces that make it work. Also, TYPOGRAPHY! Wanna talk fonts? Page design hierarchy? Yes, please. I've designed entire publications, developed curriculum and instructional materials, written assessments, and created interactive learning activities. I'm here to explore new tools and discover new ways to design learning experiences. CrystalMy name is Chandler (yes like the guy from friends)
Hi Everyone! I'm Chandler, and I am very new to this world... I actually come from a medical background, but it really was not my passion in life. I had 2 niche degrees, 3 years into a career I didn't enjoy, and no clue where to go next. But hey... turns out skills are transferable! I took the leap in investing in myself and learning new things. I got a job at a new company that I knew literally nothing about but I was willing to put the work in to learn. Turns out it was a great move on my part because I was introduced to Learning & Development. Here, I have really found a passion for training and developing individuals. I recently moved into a role as a facilitator for in-person and virtual trainings, but I have always enjoyed anything that allows me to be creative. I have just been introduced to the creation of e-learning and Articulate by a coworker on my team. I have been enjoying learning the platform and expanding my skill set :)💗Greetings from Montreal
Hello everyone. My name is Maribel, I'm Colombian, living in Montreal. I'm new to instructional design; I literally discovered this path a month ago after being lost for almost 2 years (career-wise). I recently moved to this country, and being an immigrant is like pressing a reboot button because you have to reinvent yourself completely; at least that was my case because I'm not a conventional worker. I have worn multiple hats since I left high school, and finally I found a place where I fit with all my knowledge and passion; that place is instructional design and learning experience design. I'm super excited to navigate this path and learn from you all. Thank you.Leveling up Web Objects: Two-way communication between Storyline and Spline 3D 🚀
Hi everyone! 👋 I’m super excited to share a portfolio project I recently finished called Playcraft Assistant. My goal was to push the boundaries of what we can do with Web Objects and custom JavaScript in Storyline. Instead of just embedding a static 3D model, I wanted Storyline to act as the "brain" and control a live 3D engine. Here is how it works under the hood: The Visuals: I built an interactive 3D robot using Spline. The Bridge: I wrote a custom HTML/JS wrapper using the postMessage API to create a communication tunnel between the Articulate player and the iframe. The Result: When you click native Storyline buttons or change slides, JavaScript triggers specific animations in the 3D model (Greeting, Loading, etc.) in real-time. The UI: I also coded a custom "terminal typewriter" effect using GSAP and Storyline text variables (making it 100% native and accessible without breaking the published SVG text). Playcraft Assistant It was a fantastic technical challenge dealing with iframe race conditions and variable syncing, but the result feels incredibly seamless. I’d love to hear your thoughts, feedback, or any ideas on how to take this even further. Also, if anyone is trying to connect external web apps or 3D models with Storyline variables, I’d be happy to share some of the JavaScript logic! Happy developing! 👩💻✨Transforming learning through technology and creativity: 🚀
I’m Monica, an Interactive Technology Engineer based in Mexico. 🇲🇽 My mission is simple: I believe learning at work should never be boring. I’m a huge fan of Storyline 360, specifically when it comes to the "heavy lifting" of logic, variables, and custom triggers. I love the challenge of taking complex, technical content and turning it into an immersive experience that actually sticks. I’m also an Adobe Illustrator enthusiast, so I enjoy creating custom assets to ensure every project has a unique UI/UX. I’ve been a "silent learner" in this community for a while, but I’ve decided it’s time to jump in, participate in the Weekly Challenges, and keep learning from all of you. Let’s connect and keep killing those boring slides! 🎨💻 Best, MonicaHello, I'm Jackie!
It's exciting to have my MA in IDT as of Dec 2026 and to now dive into my career, ready to make an impact! I love to share resources and learn something new every day! I need an accountability partner to just hang with me on Zoom so I stay focused to do Stoyline daily to get my portfolio in better shape! If you are in the same boat, let's connect!Excited to be here!
