Presenter - Acknowledgement "button"

May 07, 2024

I am looking for a solution in Presenter. The course is already developed in Presenter....the customer wants users to read a document (.pdf in Resources), then "acknowledge" they've read the document BEFORE attempting the quiz.

I thought about a one-question quiz (including the acknowledgement text), then regular quiz instructions, then quiz.

I thought about adding a "button" that must be clicked before going to the next page.

I thought about inserting an Engage interaction that must be completed before starting the course quiz....

Anyone out there know how I can accomplish this without moving it all over to Storyline?   Thanks in advance!

Hi Jocelyn,

Happy to chime in!

Since Presenter 360 is PowerPoint-based, the way I'd do this is to first set the navigation setting of the slides to "Restricted". This would prevent the learners from clicking through the slides without reading the content. Next, I'd modify the "Advance" Slide Properties setting so that slides don't automatically advance, requiring learner action to proceed to the next slide. Lastly, I'd add a True/False question slide created in Quizmaker 360 with the results slide removed as a way to ask learners if they've completed reading the PDF file in your course.

I've attached a sample course so you can see what this looks like in an actual course. The best solution that we can recommend for this is to import your presentation to Storyline 360, where having access to triggers would allow you to control the navigation and flow of the overall course better than Presentation 360.
