Editing clips in Replay

Mar 24, 2017

This question is with reference to Replay Update 3 version 1610.2715 (NOT Replay 360)

Is it possible to split a clip, and delete part of the clip?

Example, halfway through the screen capture the narrator gets confused and hems and haws for a minute. Is there some way I can edit that out in Replay (again, NOT Replay 360)?

The “Procrustean Edit.” Yes, I saw that but I wondered if there was a more elegant way of doing it. That’s like using a screwdriver to open a can of tuna.

Hi John,

Learned a little bit more of Greek mythology with that one...

Replay is designed to be a light weight, web cam and screen recording tool - so it doesn't have all the full editing features you may be used to within a tool like After Effects or similar. You could look at publishing it to MP4 and then doing some post-publish editing in a video tool of your choice.

Also just wanted to also give you a heads up that responding via email includes your signature here in ELH. You are welcome to visit the forum discussion and click on the "edit" below your post to remove that information. No worries on our part - just in case you don't want your information publicly!
