Changing State of Object When Snapped Into Correct Place

Oct 29, 2019

I am trying to create a tool that will show learners how to see how to properly place their truck onto a weighing station. Ideally, I would like for the scale (grey foundation in example) to be red until the learner drags the truck into the correct position, and then it turns green. How would I go about doing this or is it possible?

Thank you!

  1. Crop all of the images so the shapes are tight to the actual image, no big white space around them.
  2. Create a custom hotspot that covers the entire screen EXCEPT the area around the scale where the truck fits comfortably.
  3. Put the hotspot in the background.
  4. Move the truck out onto the screen so it intersects the hotspot.
  5. Add triggers to change the scale to drop correct only when the truck is NOT intersecting the hotspot.

Hi Kennedy,

Jerry's idea is a good one. I was working on another solution, thinking maybe the lateral placement was important. I used a slider and have taken the truck and made it a thumbnail for the slider. The user can move it into the correct position, at which point the scale will turn green.

See what you think.
