I have several hotspots on the slide, each hotspot has a trigger, on click hide layer X and show layer Y. Each of layer X and Y has a marker/tickmark that should show up and the other one hide. I can't get it to work. the hand cursor is visible when I hover the hotspot, but when I click on it nothing shows up.
Is it a larger file? If so, it may not post on the forums. If you would like, you can upload it through a support case (they're set up to handle larger files). Just make sure that you attach the .STORY file on the second page. Also, please share the case number with me, so I can take a look.
I'm looking at the file, but I'm a little confused. I don't see any additional content on the layers in that file. I've gone through them, but I see no content or triggers on the layers. Can you tell me if this is intended, or am I missing something?
The triggers are on the "main slide", and are linked to each rectangular hotspot, one hide layer and one show layer for each hotspot. Then I have a layer for each tick mark. In each trigger I refer to what layer to show and hide at Click.
I apologize, I see it now. It's the check marks on the layers. I didn't see them before, because they sort of "blend in" with the grayed out main layer content.
I'll take another look and see if I can get this working for you
I've been looking at the file and it looks like it may be an issue with the markers. I removed one of the markers from a layer and added one of the default markers and now the layers are showing for that word when the hotspot is clicked. Even after removing the fill color the marker, it shows up.
Can you tell me if you made any additional modifications to the markers?
Can you look at this published version, please? Try the "use" object and let me know if this is how you'd like it to behave. It should show the marker when "use" is selected, then hide it again if it's clicked a second time.
Good morning Catrin. I hope you had a great weekend!
It may be an issue with removing the animations from the markers. Do you think you'd be able to try this out by using a shape, instead? I'm just wondering if the functionality would be better for you.
If you'd like me to work up a little example using the file, just let me know and I'll give it a try.

Hi Catrin!
Can you share your .STORY file with the community, so we can take a look and provide some suggestions?
Thanks!
Can't get the upload file to work, can I send the file by mail?

Yes that's the way, but I only want the tick mark, not the circle and not the animation, so I have taken out all that.
