Closed caption text and Next button cutting off in Saba Cloud app
Jan 24, 2019
I have a course that was published last year and works fine in the Saba Cloud app.
I re-published it yesterday using Storyline version 3.22.17 and when viewed on an iPhone in the Saba Cloud app the slide looks like it isn't positioned properly anymore. There is a blank stripe across the top about 20 pixels high, and the closed caption text hangs below the viewing area and is cut off. Another weirdness is that you can wiggle the contents around, so you can push the whole viewing area up to see all of the closed captioning, but it pushes the title off the screen at the top. This is with the classic player.
Out of curiosity, I tried re-publishing with the modern player but that just made things worse. Now there is no sound, and no closed captions, although it looks fine on the Articulate Review site, just not on an iPhone in the Saba Cloud app.
Do you have any ideas about why this is happening? Any help would be appreciated.
Thanks!

Here's a screenshot of the course in the Saba Cloud app.
Hi Karen,
So everything works in Review, but not once viewed within the Saba Cloud app?
Does it work on mobile browsers within your device? We only support the devices and browsers listed here, so if it's strictly the Saba Cloud app, you'll want to reach out to their Support team.
Hi Ashley,
Thanks for getting back to me.
I am also seeing display problems on the Articulate Review site when viewed on my iPhone. Previously I had just tested the review site from a laptop.
With the classic player, the slide is aligned to the bottom of the viewing area, but the top of the slide is cut off by a considerable amount.
With the modern player, the top of the slide is quite a bit lower than the top of the viewing area leaving a blank stripe across the top of the slide, so a lot of the bottom of the slide gets cut off.
Even though you don't support the Saba Cloud app, it did work a few months ago, and now the same course published from a newer version of Storyline does not work.
Thank you for the additional details, Karen.
It sounds like you are actually running into an issue that has been reported to our team.
I'll get this conversation linked to our report as we track user impact and so that we can update you here when we can.
Thanks so much Leslie!
An additional note for your consideration, we are in the process of re-publishing hundreds of courses from HTML5 / Flash backup to HTML5 only, so the impact on us is huge.
Noted, Karen.
Hi Leslie
Any news on this fix? Our organization is facing the same problem - lower part with navigation elements are cut off in Saba mobile App in iPhones. With earlier builds no problems (October 30, 2018 - Build 3.21.17083.0). We contacted Sabe development team and they informed that have not made any changes that would have affect on this.
We have 80 Articulate 360/Storyline 3 licences and publishing new material every day and increasing number is published mobile compatible and viewed with Saba mobile App. So, this fix is very critical for our eLearning and mLearning implementation and future plans.
Great news, Karen and Juha!
Update 27 for Storyline 360 is live: This release includes a fix for the issue with the Modern Player where the bottom of slides would be cut off on mobile devices.
To see all the enhancements this version has to offer, follow these steps to update your software. Thanks for working through this oddity with us, and we're here if you have any questions!
