Color different on Review

Oct 19, 2020

When I publish a course on Review 360, some of my slides are different colors than what I created in Storyline 360. It has nothing to do with Slide Masters or gradients. When I added a rectangle to cover the whole slide, with no fill and moved it to the back it worked the first time I published to Review, but not the second time. Additionally, when I changed the slide layout to a white layout instead of a colored, it did not change the slide.

Hello Kendra!

Thank you for sharing the file and Review link! It looks like your slides are using a theme that has a darker grey background. Since you're changing the background color's transparency and color for each slide, the background color is causing the slide to appear darker.

I've walked through a solution in this short Peek. Take a look!

Hi Kendra,

Thanks for reaching out! I see the case where Phil has followed up with a clarification that you're running into a bug where:

The background color shifts in a published output when the slide background transparency is adjusted using the Modern Player.

Lauren's suggestion to remove any transparency on the slide is just one way to adjust that. I see that Phil has also followed up with some next steps, so keep at it with him to nail down a solution on the other issues!

By the way, it looks like you may have replied by email where your contact information came through. This Peek video will show you how to edit it out if you’d like!

Hello Kendra!

I'm happy to return to this discussion with an update!

Storyline 360 Update 49 is live: We fixed the issue where the background color shifts in a published output when the slide background transparency is adjusted using the Modern Player.

Thank you for taking the time to report this bug to us!
