Customizing the player template

Hi all,
I am working with a client who is interested in a customized menu/player template. The idea is that the menu slides on and off screen with an icon on the corner of the slide.
I understand that you can customize the player template throiugh the use of SDK - I have never come across SDK before, can anyone point me in the right direction for learning about this? Is there an article explaining SDK anywhere?
Also, does anyone have any links to courses that have manipulated the Storyline player template to achieve a very customized result? (I know you can change Menu location and colour scheme etc., I'm looking for more advnaced custom changes than this!)
Cheers
Ant

HI,
If your requirement is to change only the menu part of your module, then dont use SDK. I Suggest you to create a manual menu in master template.
if your requirement is more than that, then use storyline SDK. Refer the end conversation of following link

Hi,
forgot to say, if you have any queries in storyline SDK, its good to post your queries in the following discussion forum,

Thanks very much Senthil
It is simple functionality in storyline. Create a master slide with an icon on screen which reveals a layer hosting a custom menu built by yourself. Set up triggers to bring it on screen and another to hide it.
Return to the slide view and make sure its set to the master slide styling in Layout. Make sure to click on the cog next to the baselayer & slide layers and set the hide layers to off.
Now preview the slide and you should be able to use your custom built menu.
That's awesome thanks Tim. I also found this Screenr which is showing exactly what you explained!
Glad you were able to get the assistance that you needed here Ant and thanks for sharing helpful resources as well :)
