I tried to find this in the forum but nothing came up. I have two hover states that do not work. When I hover the mouse in preview, nothing happens. The only hover that works is if I have a trigger as well. That is fine but it did not used to be the way a state worked.
Has this happened to anyone else? Have I done something I have never done before?
Glad to hear it Jeffrey - it's a pretty amazing and awe inspiring community with the amount of help offered and all the problems solved- glad you're here to be a part of it.
I wanted to provide an update here, as Storyline 2 Update 11 was just released, and included a number of fixes which you can see in the release notes available here. The item you all may be particularly interested in is how it fixed an issue where:
Fixed issue where the default behavior for built-in states wouldn't always work when the Storyline interface was localized in Chinese, French, German, or Spanish
You can download the latest update here, and after downloading and installing the latest update you’ll want to republish any existing content to ensure that the updates and fixes are applied.

Appreciate your guidance please. I've created a slide containing four images. Each of the images have a hover state, with no additional triggers. When you hover over the image a bubble should appear with additional information. The problem I'm finding is that the bubble is appearing behind another image, rather than on top, so of course you can't read the text. Please can you help?
The pictures are at different levels (z-layers) on the slide. They have to be; there is no other way to create multiple objects on the same slide or layer. If it was only one that was a problem, you could move it up or down in the layer order by dragging it up or down on the timeline, or using the Arrange tab and changing its order.
Since one of them has to be on top, and one on the bottom, the only solution is to edit the states and move the popup in the hover state.
Check the attached sample. I changed the order of Actimel and mumps, and changed the position of the popups.

Hey Patricia - Do you have a .story file we could take a look at? That would be helpful.
Thanks :)
Hi Leslie,
I attached a copy of the file onto the forum but here is another wee copy of it.
Thanks
Patricia
Hello Patricia - Did you intend to attach a different file for me to look at here? I'm not seeing a new attachment.
Patricia,

Thanks Walt, it was so frustrating trying to get it to work, but I know what to check for in the future. Thanks :)
Thanks Walt. This has proven a great help with my project. Been puzzling over this for weeks.
Hey Allan! Glad that this forum thread and the information from Walt was able to help you out as well. Thanks for popping in to share.
