I am in the process of brainstorming a new software simulation course and was wondering if you can insert a software simulation into 2/3 of a slide. Thanks in advance for everyone's input.
Thank you. I have seen these already. I am actually looking to put static content on the left 1/3rd of the slide and the interaction on the right 2/3rds of the slide.
when inserting a step by step recording it becomes a part of your slide background and then you're unable to move it within the slide. You could choose to record at a smaller portion than your story size, and then the screen recording will be centered - but there isn't a way in Storyline to force a step by step recording into the top corner.
You could export your screencast as a video, then reimport it into storyline. In theory, if you did that, you would then be able to resize it however you needed.

Hi, Ayanne -
Please take a moment to review this information on Creating Screencasts and Software Simulations. Hope that helps, and you can also check out the following, as well:
is there any interactivity in the simulation?
if not you could use a lightbox slide and a trigger to pause the course while the simulation is playing.

Great suggestion Joe - and thanks for popping in here.

Hi Ayanne,
Here are the directions on how to export a screen recording, and it'll only work for video on a single slide.
Thank you!!!!
