Preview/publish SL2 course - audio from a different slide plays, but I have the correct audio file inserted

Oct 29, 2015

Weird issue that is also happened to a colleague last week.  When I go to preview a slide, it starts playing audio from a completely different slide! But when I check the audio I have in the timeline, it's the correct one.

I can't tell yet if it's randomly doing it, because sometimes when I preview a slide it works fine, and then when I preview other slides I have no clue what audio it's trying to play. Beyond annoying and confusing!

Using Storyline off of my C drive, not over a network and I have the latest version of Storyline.

Has anyone else had this issue and found a resolution?

Thanks!
Brooke

The same thing has been happening to me! AND IT'S SO FRUSTRATING!

I have the correct audio on one slide, but when I preview or publish my file, audio from a completely different slide plays. I have submitted the case to Articulate Support a couple times and they can't replicate the issue.

This is creating a significant problem with productivity because every time I "fix" one slide, another slide does it. Completely random, completely frustrating.

Hi, Brooke and Elisia -- Sorry to hear you are having difficulties, but let's see if we can help! Have you tried importing the file into a new file to see if you find improvement? And have you taken a look at this information on Unexpected or Erratic Behavior in SL2? You may find that the repair steps do the trick in addressing the issue for you.

Also, are you seeing the same behavior when you test your published output in the intended environment? If issues persist, you are welcome to share your files and we will gladly do some testing for you on our end.
