I have custom navigation buttons on my slides, but when returning to a slide the default prev/next buttons appear. I have turned off the review quiz etc.. so not sure why?
Are you using a trigger to hide the Prev/Next buttons? You might have better results if you turn them off through Slide Properties. You can select multiple slides and then right-click on the slide in Slide View to set the properties (at the bottom of the pull-down menu). Since you are using custom navigation you could get rid of the Prev/Next buttons on all of the slides this way.
When learners review a quiz, they'll see Articulate Storyline's built-in Prev and Next buttons in the lower right corner of the player—even if you've disabled them throughout your course. See this article for more information.
The information that I shared above still stands in regards to the built in previous and next buttons during review. I know the information shared here has helped some and perhaps it will work for you with your client as well.

Hi Sharon!
Did this thing ever get fixed ?
We have a client that insists on their own style navigation buttons.

Hi Leslie, couldn't get that fix to work, so have just set When revisiting: Reset to initial state
Seems to get over the problem.
Many thanks
Thanks for sharing George :) Glad you were able to find something that would work for you.
