I have some slides with captions or pictures sometimes displaying after a delay. When I select the element and look at Animations, there are none applied. Any ideas on why this delay is occurring and how to get rid of it?
Without seeing your .story file it's hard to say for certain, but have you checked things like the trigger panel or timeline to ensure that those are set to show you pictures or captions when you'd like? If you'd like to share your .story file here then we'll be able to take a look at it, and if you'd prefer to share privately you're welcome to send it here.
very clever ! I should have though about this
Here is the presentation. I am trying to avoid the "flashing" of the labels
by suppressing their animation
I didn't find any grey button
Thanks for your support and do tell me if you see other "not-well-done"
things in there :)
you have slide transitions set to 'FADE' change to None and it will remove the animation 'flashing' - You will need to do this for all slides so from Story View you can select all slides and do them all at once.
You do have fade animations on the text on the right of slides - if you need to remove those you highlight the text box, Click the Animations tab and select None.
Ok I can see what you are saying about the text on the right on slide 1. I thought you were referring to the flashing of the text on the left that was happening because of the fade transition.
Did you import these slides into Storyline from a ppt or word file?
I downloaded your version and it still flashes. Look at "interhemispheric fissure", When the second slide arrives the picture does not changes but the labels around flash.
Yes I mentioned above I could see the issue. I thoought perhaps if you had copied the text from a word doc or ppt that it held onto the formatting but as you didn't that rules that out.
I think you need to submit a support ticket to Articulate to get them to look at the file. The animations look like they are stuck on.
I tried importing your file into a new file and same behaviour but I am using SL360.
I created a new SL360 file added an image and a text box with an animation and could turn the animation off. So I think the issue may be specific to SL3.

Hi Philippe
can you share the .story file or just the slide and let us know which object isn't working correctly.
be happy but how do i share just one scene or slide ? the whole
presentation is about 100 MB !
Here is a quick video on how to create a new storyline file then import in just the one slide with the issue
Then use the grey 'add attachment' button at the bottom of the post to upload

no i created them inside SL3

I checked and in your version the Animation is still on Fade for Interhemispheric fissure and i cant change Fade to none
