I have some slides with captions or pictures sometimes displaying after a delay. When I select the element and look at Animations, there are none applied. Any ideas on why this delay is occurring and how to get rid of it?
ok thanks.. good to know it was not a beginner's mistake
Many of these slides are just duplicated so that many elements remain in place, i have nto found a way to align between layers/between slides and between scenes :(
Hi Philippe - if you have lots of duplicate images you could use a slide master layouts for the consistent objects then just place the variant text on the slide.
You can also use guides and gridlines through the View Tab - that will help you to align objects. Also the Format Tab > Align option will help you as well
Here is a tutorial about using Grids / Guidelines and one about using the Align options.
yes thanks... I use some of that but i have too many drawing to make slide master for each. I would love to be able to select a object in one slide and one in another and align them both...
In this slide I could "recolor > transparent" the backgound of the Normal state of the baby, but not the other states. When I go into Edit State i cannot paint onto the background and i can't drag it on screen to edit it. What is the alternative ?
I am familiar with these (all too familiar :) ) but I don't find how to rotate the object. I can easily add one motion to the other but not transform the end of the animation.
I made a small illustration: How could i make the "left corner of the frame" to end up rotated and become "right lower corner" (i made it in red to show what i want it to become at the end of the animation.
If you need to get started with a Support case for the animation issue let me know or reach out to our Engineers directly here. They'll be happy to help. 🙂
That is much better but my sectional plane of the fetus needs to be much less. I need to do individualized spin. Much like the tool you have in the DIAL tool: Where is the beginning, how much to turn and clock vs anticlockwise...
Perhaps someone else can chime in to help here Philippe or could you use Director to make the animation and then publish to mp4 that you could import into SL?
OUCH ! It would be difficult to overlap perfectly.
I am sure someone else must have done something like animating a bottle and pouring milk out of it or any other animation where a object has to turn...

All the best.

can i ask you about another slide with an odd behavior ? Now i know how to
send just one and where to send it :)
Sure Philippe - you are uploading on the public forum just so you are aware.
Public crticism is always welcomed :)

I also tried to change the Initial state to one of the other state to make it appear on screen and edit it that way but this did not work
Also, can I reset the Path Motion of the red bar, that each time the hot spot is hovered over, the Path animation is replayed ?
Thanks :D

Hi Phillipe
see attached video for how to manage transparent background of the baby
For the animation on hover add this trigger - hope I have understood what you want.
Fantastic! You ARE the guru ! You solved both issues !
He he.. one more.. :$
How can I rotate the red line at the end of the translation, so that when it moves it also rotate xx degrees ?
Thanks !
Ah for that you would need multiple motion paths Philippe
Here is a tutorial about that

Are you looking for something like this?
Hi Philippe,
Whew! Looks like you and Wendy were busy.
If you need to get started with a Support case for the animation issue let me know or reach out to our Engineers directly here. They'll be happy to help. 🙂
Yes, Wendy is super helpful !
I send a note to the engineers ! THanks !
Did you see video above about the rotating object? Is that what you want?
Yes i did but this is not what i wanted. I made a short example in Director to show you
Have you tried the spin animation - clockwise - 1/2 spin - see here
That is much better but my sectional plane of the fetus needs to be much less. I need to do individualized spin. Much like the tool you have in the DIAL tool: Where is the beginning, how much to turn and clock vs anticlockwise...
