Scrolling Panels/ Text
Jun 17, 2016
I must be missing something very simple! I want to insert a scrolling panel to a project, and then text into the scrolling panel. However, when I put the two objects on my slide, I can't pull the text box into the scrolling panel. They remain separate objects.
All of the tutorials show them pulling objects/images into the scrolling panel. However, you can't pull (say) a word document into the scrolling panel. I'm sure I'm missing something very simple, but I can't for the life of me figure it out. Suggestions???

Hi Brian,
You can't pull a whole word doc into the scrolling panel - as in the document itself, but you should be able to pull the whole text in if you've placed it in a text box. If you select the text box you should just be able to drag it into the scrolling panel - and you'll see the panel become "highlighted or selected" when you're ready to drop it there.I recorded a quick video of this happening here.
Leslie,
Please could you let me know the new link? Many thanks,
Indrani

Here is an example. Thank you :)
Hello Indrani - Did you mean to share a .story file for us to take a look at here? This thread is a bit dated, so be sure to let us know what you need assistance with along with your .story file.
No Leslie,
I figured it out, and thought of sharing for someone who may need help with this.
Thanks for asking. You all are amazing!!

Oh, awesome Indrani - thanks!
Leslie,
On an another note, I have another question. Please could you guide me to the right forum/person?
My 17 year old niece residing in NJ is a very talented digital artist. She has won a couple of awards, and her digital art (including emogis) are impressive. She is looking for summer internship, and is willing to share her portfolio. Any ideas where she could join as an intern? She is even interested in working remotely. Many thanks,
Thank you
From the standpoint of Articulate forums, your best bet may be to share on our Building Better Courses/General Discussion forum. Those discussions are more design-related and may have the best audience for this reference. Personally, I have no idea :)
Thank you so much !:)
