Spellcheck 'red squiggle' shows through layers
Jun 18, 2020
Hi,
I have a course with a few free text entry areas on the base layer. After completing a typed answer the submit button reveals a layer. My issue is that if there is a spelling mistake on the base layer text entry the red squiggle from spellcheck shows through the revealed layer.
See screen shots below.
This happens even if I hide objects on my base layer (which unfortunately is not an option in my courses anyway).
This happens quite regularly as Articulate's default is USA English and I am in Australia. So simple words like organisation, colour, etc. are marked as errors when spellchecked (as you can see above).
Any thoughts on how to remove the red lines or stop them showing through the reveal layers?

Did you try giving the textbox on the feedback layer a white fill?
Hi Walt, Good point, but yes I checked that, all the elements on the feedback layer are solid fill.
This is an ongoing bug and hopefully gets fixed
Thanks Phil, good to know it's a known bug and not something I created. Appreciate your help.
Hi Pepe,
Phil is correct. I've attached this conversation to our report so that we can share updates with you here.
oh that's a good tip!
THANKS matt as I've resorted to having the questions on separate slides rather than having them as layer to try and by pass this!

Fixed: Scroll bars and red spell-check lines on one layer were visible on other layers when they should've been hidden.
Just launch the Articulate 360 desktop app on your computer and click the Update button for Storyline 360. Details here.
