Trigger to move cursor to another text entry box?

We're working on a course where the learner has to type text into a to-do list. However it's extremely fiddly, if not impossible, to get the text entry results to line up with the boxes/lines of the 'notepad' background. One way around this would be to use a separate input field for each line, and have the cursor move to the next one automatically when the user presses Enter.

Does anyone know a way of getting something like that to happen?
