Embedded youtube video into web object, works just great in Storyline preview, does not show up in Cornerstone LMS, any ideas? Waiting on reply from Cornerstone as well. Thanks! Jeff
I suspect that the problem here is due to Cornerstone running on HTTPS (secure) while your embedded YouTube video appears to be inserted as HTTP (insecure).
I'd be curious if you already found a solution to this. I suspect with youtube you might be able to fix this by simply changing the url from http:// to https:// since they have HTTPS versions of their pages, but it would be interesting to find out for sure.
This threads a bit older, and I don't know that I've seen Norm around recently, so you may want to message him using the 'contact me' button on his profile to see if he was able to work around this.
I don't know if there was a change in the Cornerstone behavior, but you may also want to take a look at the information here in terms of adding YouTube videos to your course. Also you could always look at testing the content by uploading to SCORM Cloud here as that's an industry standard for LMS testing and will help you determine if there is something happening with the video itself or the video hosted in your LMS.
Hello Ashley, Thank you for getting back to me. There was a solution in that discussion that did work for me on Cornerstone. I added an "s" "after http" and was able to get it to work.
Awesome Kevin - happy to hear that and just an FYI that responding via email includes your signature here so you're welcome to edit the post and remove that information.

Does it work from another web server (not in LMS?)
Hi Jeffrey,
Do other web objects work in Cornerstone? What about other videos not from Youtube?

Was there ever a solution for this issue? We just purchased Storyline 2 and the first training project I completed is not working.
