New in Review 360: Request Review

Jun 20, 2023

Are you sick of chasing down stakeholders to get them to review your courses? If so, you’re going to love being able to request and track reviews directly in Review 360. This handy new option will you save time—and headaches—by eliminating the need for endless back and forth with your stakeholders about where they’re at in the feedback process.

Here’s how it works: When you open a course in Review 360, you’ll see an all-new Review Request button.

Once you’ve selected that button, simply add stakeholder email addresses, share any additional information they might need, choose a due date, and hit Send Request.

From there, Review 360 saves you time by taking over the notification process. It will email reviewers about your project right away. And if you add a due date, it’ll automatically send reminder nudges to your reviewers just before, on, and after that date if they haven’t finished looking over your course.

And that’s not all! You and your stakeholders can now easily see where everyone is in the review process right within Review 360 thanks to the status labels that appear next to each reviewer’s name.

So you won’t need to email stakeholders to check up on them because you’ll already know what’s going on.

If you’re an Articulate 360 subscriber, you can access this new feature immediately in Review 360. And if you don’t have Articulate 360 but want to try out this feature, you can start a free 30-day trial. For more detailed information about this feature, check out this helpful article: Review 360: Request Review.

So let us know what you think of this new Review 360 feature in the comments below.

Hi, everyone!

On behalf of the Review 360 Team, I'd like to thank you all for the valuable feedback. Your suggestions through the beta program guided us to develop additional features, such as:

  • Allowing stakeholders to reset their status after completing a review for more flexibility.
  • Sending a request to multiple reviewers simultaneously by copying and pasting their email addresses in bulk.
  • Boosting the engagement in review request messages with a new text-formatting toolbar.

Request review is no longer in beta, but we're continuing to gather feedback and enhance the feature. You can still share your ideas through this discussion or the in-app "Share You Feedback" link.

Looks great, there are a few places I would change. It would be nice to set up a review and then send the email from my work email address rather than direct from review. When I do use review being able to save some templates so I don't have to keep typing the emails. Agree with being able to hide other reviewers comments as I find reviewers fixate on comments rather than reviewing with an open mind. I think the guide should be an option to add in the email.

Love this feature. Would it be possible to add an approval stage? The review completion might not always mean the reviewers are in a position to "Approve" the course. Having an approval button would make it clearer for the reviewer that no further edits need to be made from their point of view. Other than that a great addition to Review!

Thanks Phil, yes thinking about it further Approve and Complete are different stages. It might also be that those that approve the course aren't always those that review to comment (if that makes sense).

At review stage its about the commenting and changing items in the course, once that reviewer has nothing left to say they would complete their section.

The next stage after any changes etc and no further comments is the approval stage, just to keep track of who has approved the version for publishing to say an LMS etc. Hope that makes a bit of sense!

Completely agree with Chris here, it would be nice to have a choice of buttons to display for some you may show complete and approve for some only complete.

Will the review store an address book of everyone I have sent review links to? Also if the user presses complete it might be nice to have the option to lock their review, for some complete doesn't me they have finished.

Great feature ! Even better would be the option to keep reviewer's feedback hidden from each other (unless needed, of course). Is this something in the development pipeline ?

This is a great idea. Please do this Articulate. It is so true that people get caught up in a debate there when you just want them to focus, but other times it can be helpful to have them see other comments. Would be nice on a person by person basis but that might be asking a bit much.

I love the concept. However, most of our reviewers are not seatholders. Is there a plan to enable this for non-seat holders in the near future as well?

Hi Jaci! You can request reviews from non-seatholders right now!

Simply enter the email of your non-seatholder and click "Add" row in the list. The email will be added to your list of reviewers. The process will be the almost exactly the same for them as a seat holder.

If there is a password, is that shared also? Would be nice to have that included in the notification email.

Hi Rebecca - great question! The Requester has the ability to share a custom message with their Reviewer(s). The password can be included there and will be displayed in the email the Reviewer receives.

Hi Phil - Apologizes I missed your last part originally! That's something we've talked about internally as well! A "frequent reviewers list" that includes emails, or something along the lines of what you are suggesting. I've got it added to our feedback list!
