NEW IN RISE: Process Block
Jul 31, 2018
New feature alert! We just shipped the latest new goodie in Rise, the process block.
Now you can add process interactions to the custom lessons you create with blocks. They’re a great way to help learners explore and understand a step-by-step process. And of course they’re beautiful and responsive to any device.
Take a peek at the process block in action:
We can’t wait to see what you create with this new block!

hi, this is another excellent addition to the Rise software. I have added one to my course, and realised the font looked different. I have selected Open San as the font under setting. What's the problem here? thanks
I’m havin this problem too. It appears to be a bug.
To clarify, I found this error when previewing the course

Hi John
I'm seeing the same behaviour - it's using a different font.
Using Lato in the font selection
This is what appears in the process block - with no option to modify

Another awesome feature. Love Rise!
Yes, saw this feature added when I opened RISE this morning. Good going! Keep em' coming.

Hey all, the process block is now using the proper fonts. We're sorry about letting that bug slip through. Glad to hear you're all excited about the process block—we are too!
This is what I called excellent customer service!! Thanks, Mike & Articulate!!
All of these new RISE features are so great! I'm seeing much more of a demand for RISE courses and love the quick "win" I get with them. Keep it coming!
Hi...This is a great new feature. Is there a way to change the background color as with the other blocks. This is appearing gray for me and I need white to match the other blocks in my course. Thanks!
Hi. I´m having an issue with this new block. I´m making my course in Spanish but the ´Start´ button doesn´t translate. I tried to translate it using Labels but there isn´t any ´Start´ button there for this process block.
Hi Carolina,
The Start label for the Process interaction is in its own section of the labels. Scroll down just a bit further and you'll see it here:
Hi, I love this addition! I've been waiting for these more complex interactions to be integrated into the blocks lesson, since I almost exclusively use them.
Same here, I only use blocks!
Hey there, Lisa. The Process block takes up the full width of the screen which is why you don't see the same background color option in Settings. The gray highlights the steps which are white and borderless.
It sounds like you'd prefer to have more formatting options, though, so I'll bring that up with our team!
Hi Crystal:
Yes, it is a great feature and we want to sue it, but all of our back grounds need to be white for the brand...so I would need the option to make the gray be white. Thanks so much!
hi again, found another error in this new feature. The texts and images are out of alignment when viewing in Microsoft IE v11. Works fine in Chrome.
Hi this is a great feature to have in a block, but it would be even better if you could have a labeled graphic as a step, it would allow for really interactive support guides
Hi John,
Can you also include your Share link from Rise? Also, just to confirm you're viewing the Share link or Exported output in IE11 vs. previewing? Previewing is a part of the Edit options, and authoring of Rise courses isn't supported in IE11.
Thank you Ashley for your response, and thank you Carolina for bring this up.
Labels in Spanish seem to be working properly, except that behavior is different in the editing and the preview mode. Also, the "Read more" label for embedded content is not working in Spanish. Here are some screenshots.
I love the Introduction and Summary portions of the process. I would love it even more if we were able to turn them on or off as needed ;).
Rise is getting better and better every time! All the best!
hi Ashley, thanks for your reply. Here is the share link to the course

And yes, I viewed the course using the share link
I just found the little eye to turn the introduction and the summary on and off! Love it!
I am just having trouble with the "Read more" label that does not get translated.
Thank you,
I noticed that the roll over text for the check mark does not get translated, either. See this screenshot. Thank you again,
Hi John,
Thanks for the link. I tested this in Chrome and Edge where it behaved normally, and as you noted in IE11 when opening it, the process interaction appeared off center. I was able to expand IE11 to be full screen, and then it appeared normally. Can you test that as well? I kept playing around with it and saw some inconsistencies with how it displays, so I'll report that to the team to investigate further.
