At Articulate, we’re constantly blown away by the amazing things our users create with our apps. And we love how you’re always encouraging us to take our apps even further. If you’re someone who enjoys pushing the creative envelope, we think you’ll be especially pleased with the powerful new features in our latest Storyline 360 update. Let’s walk through these features and why we think you’ll love them.

1. Create Timed Interactions and Report Time Spent to Your LMS

Thanks to the all-new elapsed time variables, you can now track the total time a learner spends on a slide, a scene, or an entire course to create timed interactions and report information to your Learning Management System (LMS)

2. Get More Detailed Tracking with xAPI

If you’re using a Learning Record Store (LRS) to track learning experiences at your organization, you’re going to be really excited about this update. Why? Because now you can use your LRS to track your Storyline 360 courses, too. You can even define custom xAPI statements—such as “Maria interacted with Office Tour 360° Image”—and send them to your LRS. And to make it super-easy, we created a debug tool to help you troubleshoot your xAPI statements if they’re not working as expected. So helpful!

3. Work with JavaScript More Easily

While you don’t need to code to create custom courses in Storyline 360, it’s nice to have the option to extend Storyline’s capabilities with JavaScript. To make adding JavaScript to your course even easier than it already is, we added line numbers and syntax highlighting to the editor. See for yourself what a difference it makes by checking out the before and after screenshots below:

The Bottom Line

With these powerful features, you can take your Storyline 360 courses to new heights. We can’t wait to see what you create!
