I think it's a mistake to characterize ADDIE as linear. It is in fact dynamically circular. The fifth step, evaluation of instruction, leads you back to analysis, or design, or development.
- RobynePippert6 years agoCommunity MemberI agree with you, William. Too many people getting into ID work try to keep the ADDIE model linear, and as the article mentioned in a waterfall presentation. I use ADDIE as a guide, and I feel that SAM, AGILE, or any other model still retain all 5 steps to ID within ADDIE. ADDIE is a structure and a guidance. My designs are always circular. I prototype within ADDIE all the time during design and development both.
